Beware of thunderstorms! IMGW warns almost the entire country

Outside the north-eastern edge of Poland – voivodeship Podlasie and Eastern part of the province Warmian-Masurian – in the rest of the country there is a threat of hailstorms and gusty wind on Sunday (June 28). The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued warnings.

IMGW informed that storms with rainfall from 20 mm to 30 mm, locally up to 40 mm, are forecasted in almost all of Poland. Wind gusts up to 90 km / h can also be expected. Hail will occur in places.

The warning applies to all regions except the province Podlasie and eastern part of the province Warmia-Mazury.

IMGW gave the warning the rank of the first degree, i.e. the lowest. This means that one should expect favorable conditions for the occurrence of dangerous meteorological phenomena that may cause material losses and threat to health and life.

IMGW recommends compliance with all recommendations issued by emergency services in an emergency. He also advises you to adapt your plans to weather conditions.

Last day storms were mainly in three regions: in Podkarpacie, Silesia and Mazovia. The most difficult weather situation occurs in Podkarpacie, where firefighters intervened over 1,100 times.
