The white coat does not make the doctor. Two videos of health professionals shared on social networks can sow confusion in the minds of some Internet users. If they are real health professionals, their words have been strongly denied.
No more cases of Covid-19 for six months?
In a video posted on Twitter on July 28 and seen thousands of times, a woman – pretending participate in a demonstration against the sanitary passivity (probably that of Saturday July 24 in Lyon) – presents herself as a nurse at Saint-Claude hospital, in the Jura.
New testimony from a nurse from Saint Claude hospital in the jura.
No more cases of Covid19 for 6 months, but a lot of people in medicine who come after the for pulmonary embolisms, cardiac arrests. We have more people dead than not.@AssoCovid @ DIVISION1 pic.twitter.com/qaI1Zd4fhV– Louis_HK (@autrement_votre) July 28, 2021
She affirms, facing the camera that, in her department, “It’s been over six months that we have no more Covid at all”, but that there is “a lot of people who come after the Covid vaccine for pulmonary embolisms, for OAP (acute lung edema), for cardiac arrests”. She concludes by way of conclusion that in her service “we have more deaths of vaccinated people than unvaccinated people”.
The management of the establishments of the Jura Sud hospital community, on which the Saint-Claude hospital depends, reacted on Twitter by denying “formally” these words.
Contacted, management confirms that it is indeed an employee of the St-Claude hospital center, but disputes all of her comments. “which do not correspond to the reality of the situation”. She ensures that “the hospital has been widely mobilized over the last six months to take care of Covid patients in a fully dedicated department with a fluctuation in activity depending on the period” and “The comments that there have been no more Covid patients for six months are of course wrong”.
Management also indicates that“To To date, the virus is still actively circulating in the department, leading to numerous tests and the care of Covid patients in our services “, and call in passing “the population with the greatest caution” by respecting barrier gestures and getting vaccinated.
A patient refused by a clinic because she did not have a health pass?
In another much commented video, a man, this time posing as a paramedic, says one of his patients was unable to endure “an examination of the heart” planned in a clinic, on the grounds that she did not have a health pass. After verification, the man is in fact an ambulance driver employed by a company in the Eure region. However, his words are not correct.

The paramedic assures us that the patient was refused on the pretext that she did not have a health pass. However, the health pass is not yet in force in health establishments. It will probably only be in early August after the text has been promulgated. To date, an establishment cannot therefore require a health pass.
Would the clinic have demanded this pass without having the right? Apparently not. Contacted, the management of the clinic called into question by the ambulance driver did not express itself precisely on this case of which it was not aware until now. However, she recalls that a doctor can ask a patient to provide a PCR test before hospitalization or a medical examination, which is often the case before a scheduled operation. It is moreover a recommendation from the Haute Autorité de santé. Management specifies, however, that in the event of a medical emergency, no test may be required.
The paramedic confirmed to franceinfo that his patient had to undergo a coronary angiography “scheduled in advance”. It was therefore not an emergency. He also confirms that the clinic would have requested the presentation of the “PCR test” (and not of a health pass strictly speaking). Not having this test and not yet being fully vaccinated, the patient would therefore have been deprogrammed. For the management of the clinic, this process seems “perfectly normal”.
