A non-stick pan is an essential component in any kitchen and to maintain it, we’ll go over a number of important tips that extend the life of your pans.
1. Use an oil spray.
The oil mist leaves a residue that will often destroy the non-stick layer, it is best to use oil or butter and in some cases you can even do without the use of grease as the pan won’t stick.
2. Heat the pan before adding the oil or butter.
It is usually recommended to preheat the pan before adding oil or butter, but this method should not be used with a non-stick pan.
And when exposed to high temperatures, its metal releases substances that are harmful to health, and immediately after putting the pan on the fire, fat is added to avoid this problem.
3. Put it in the dishwasher.
Hot water and harsh dishwasher detergents damage the non-stick coating, clean this type of pan by hand and gently.
4. You use sharp tools on it.
It is easier to use metal utensils when preparing food, but they corrode the non-stick coating and make it less effective.Use wooden or plastic utensils to protect it.
