One of the latest scam attempts, but beware it absolutely does not come from Poste Italiane, is that of a fake text message that invites you to click a dangerous link.

A notification that reaches all account holders of Italian post via a text message with the header “PosteInfo” where the customer is invited to click the link indicated with an apology.

The message puts the recipient in a position to click the link, as it highlights a certain anomaly on the account and the invitation is that of a normal verification.

Verify that it is obviously not transmitted by Poste Italiane and, for this reason, the customer is misled. You will access a site very similar to that of Poste Italiane.

By entering the access data in the fake system there is the possibility of theft of your personal data, with serious consequences on the account and cards.

Here is the scam as it is submitted to the customer via text message:

“Dear customer, your account has been limited due to an abnormal login, please log in now https: // …”

But beware, the scam message does not represent any official communication and nor is it attributable to the Poste Italiane company. The dangerous link will direct the customer to a fake page on the original Poste Italiane site.

At that point, the unsuspecting user will fill in a dedicated form where he will have to enter sensitive data such as login credentials. This step will ensure scammers the data for accessing the current account and will have the savings of the victim.
