Beware of the Fishy Odor: A Dangerous Electrical Problem Revealed

A young wife named Claudia Anderson from Scotland revealed that her bedroom smelled like fish for weeks.

The 26-year-old is doing her best to warn others about the disturbing cause behind this odour.

It actually turned out to be something very dangerous and that it was caused by an electrical problem that could have caused a fire in her home, according to the New York Post.

The wife posted a video clip of her cautionary tale on her TikTok account, which has since received more than 33,000 views.

“When my husband and I entered our bedroom, we found a bad fish smell,” she said.

Although the smell was unusual, she did not want to tell anyone about it because she was embarrassed.

I thought there was a plumbing problem that might be causing this smell, but after examining the toilet it also still lingered.

“So we removed the U-shaped curve from the tub, made sure the toilet was very clean, and cleaned the connection hole in the shower,” she said.

She added: “When I read that an electrical problem might be the reason behind this, I immediately called my father-in-law, as he works as an electrician. He confirmed this information to me and indicated the need to check the electricity in the house.”

She continued: “There was a cord that had been disconnected but it was actually melting the plastic inside the socket.”

“We were very lucky to find it before it caught fire,” she added.

She urged people to call an electrician immediately if they smell a suspicious odor.
