Jakarta –
Fraud in the name of Bank BCA has become more and more common lately. Fraud that occurs mainly by using fake phone numbers such as +6221-1500888/021-500888, and so on.
Executive Vice President Secretariat & Corporate Communication BCA Hera F Haryn said fraudsters could carry out this action using the Fake Caller application. He said this could be avoided in three ways.
Call it, first, never pick up a call from a suspicious number, even though it looks similar to the official call center number.
“Friends, it’s better not to save the Halo BCA number in the contacts on your cellphone, so you can see the incoming phone number, whether it’s the official Halo BCA number 1500888 without any frills +62, 021, or anything else,” he said in a written statement, Sunday ( 5/9/2021).
Second, stay calm and don’t panic if you pick up a call from an unknown number and the caller provides information on suspicious activity on your credit card/account/mobile banking. Then, immediately turn off the phone.
“Once again conveyed, BCA never asks for data such as ATM PIN, ATM card number, mobile banking PIN, Credit Card CVV, OTP and other personal data because of #DatamuRahasiamu!,” he said.
Third, if you find suspicious activity, immediately contact Halo BCA at 1500888, Twitter @HaloBCA, email [email protected], or WhatsApp Bank BCA 0811500998.
“Let’s remind those closest and around us not to be easily fooled by fraudsters by running the 3 ways above,” he said.
