Jakarta (ANTARA) – Cybersecurity company Kaspersky discovered quite a number of scams luring the PlayStation 5 in cyberspace.
Through a press release on Saturday, Kaspersky found several models phishing which is used to distribute PS5 reward links, one of which is via email.
Fraudsters and hackers often use things that are popular to spread cybercrime, such as hogging console names game who are looking like a PlayStation 5 to cheat.

Kaspersky found a fraudster using a sender name similar to a real organization, however, not related to the console game, for example a pharmaceutical company.
The fraudster asks the victim to enter a competition by registering an email address, after which the victim is asked to open the site e-commerce false.
In order to manipulate the victim’s emotions, the fraudster says the victim is one of the winners of the lottery only gives a few seconds to confirm, as if the prize will be forfeited if it does not immediately say yes.
The victim will then be asked to pay a small amount to claim the prize, under the pretext of postage.
Then, the victim will be asked to fill in data such as address, telephone number, email and banking details including the bank card CVV number.
Kaspersky warns that maybe the value of money demanded by fraudsters is not that big, however, one of the crucial data in the form of CVV code has been pocketed by criminals.
In cases of fraud involving CVV numbers, it often results in bank accounts being drained by fraudsters.
For the sake of avoiding phishing like this, Kaspersky asks internet users to check the raffle organizer site again.
If the site looks suspicious, never enter personal data such as phone numbers.
Internet users should be vigilant about getting a gift, however, being asked to send a certain amount of funds because of the risk of getting a loss that is greater than the amount requested.
