Scam
This was stated by the Secretary of Public Health of the Municipality of Río Gallegos, Marcela González, after being alerted by a telephone scam related to the vaccination campaign.

“Yesterday we received a warning from someone who had received a call from a number in Buenos Aires asking if he had been treated at the Peliche and at the end of the call asking if he could deposit money for the Vaccination Campaign. Given this, we moved and notified about the case, because someone may fall for that scam, ”he commented.
In the same way, he explained: “We do not charge anything, let alone vaccination. I understand that it is not that they offered a particular vaccine, they were people who spoke very naturally, they asked me to evaluate Peliche’s care and we are worried that they think we are going to ask for money. We do everything for free.”
On the other hand, referring to vaccination, he explained: “We are vaccinating in all our Health Centers from 08:00 to 20:00 in El Peliche and from 08:00 to 19:00 in the other centers and every day we have a team that goes to the field to vaccinate at different locations. They vaccinate the same as the other Centers and we bring vaccination closer to the neighbors who cannot go to the Health Centers”.
Next, he expressed: “On the page of the Secretary and Municipality is the schedule of the territorial devices that we make and they can be set there, because nurses go to vaccinate with a calendar, with covid, pediatricians, among others.”

Lastly, after detecting the first imported case of dengue in Gobernador Gregores, he stated: “We did not have any Health recommendations but we know how we have to act and the case is imported. They are people who came from the north and I don’t think we have native cases, because mosquitoes with this cold is difficult”.
