More and more buyers from around the world are becoming victims of a new form of online fraud. A person goes to a website where he makes a purchase, after which he receives a mini-copy of the desired item. About it reports The Wall Street Journal.
In fact, people are sent what they order. The trouble is that buyers do not pay attention to the parameters of the product, focusing only on the favorable price.
The publication cites as an example the case of a 57-year-old resident of Norway, who realized that something was wrong only when she saw that a purchase could easily fit into her mailbox.
A woman ordered a ramp online for her dog, who could not climb onto the sofa on her own due to sore joints. She paid only $35 for the purchase. But she received a mini-copy that her little Yorkshire terrier would simply crush.
