The Krefeld customs, which also has a seat in Deller Weg in Nettetal, warns of a new scam. Fake SMS messages are sent to victims claiming that a shipment intended for them is at customs. In order to be able to receive these, however, fees would first have to be paid. Part of the messages is a link that pretends to take victims to a payment option. Whoever opens the link will be instructed to make a transfer or provide their bank details. These messages do not come from customs or the respective delivery service providers, but from scammers.
