Beware of “Long Covid”, Covid-19 Survivors Still Need Further Examination

Long Covid is more common in survivors over 55 years of age, has more than one comorbid, is female, and requires prior oxygen therapy or mechanical ventilation.

The health impacts that arise due to Covid-19 do not only occur when the virus is still in the patient’s body. Not a few patients who have been declared cured still experience sequelae or what are commonly called “Long Covid”.

Further checks on Covid-19 survivors are still needed. Symptoms of Long Covid can include coughing, muscle aches, headaches, sleep disturbances, and shortness of breath.
