According to the center, leaflets with a QR code are distributed on behalf of the chairman of the Zaporozhye regional council, Elena Zhuk. This is supposedly done so that citizens can share complaints and problems through a chatbot.
However, the head of the local regional council, Elena Zhuk, called it a fake and reminded citizens about cybersecurity.
“I officially declare that I, my colleagues and the regional council have nothing to do with these leaflets and this chatbot. I urge the Cossacks to observe the rules of digital hygiene,” Zhuk said.
In addition, she urged citizens not to share their personal data with unknown persons on the Internet.
Fraudsters in Ukraine
According to the survey, 11% of Ukrainians have become victims of scammers since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. People often get deceived when buying or selling goods online.
But scammers operate not only on the Internet. At the same time, every time they come up with new schemes of deception. For example, in Chuguev, Kharkov region, scammers go to apartments and houses of residents and pretend to be government employees.
They offer “assistance” in obtaining funds from the Recovery program. In addition, scammers recently decided to “improve” the already familiar scheme for collecting “help” for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, using letters from the OVA. In Dnepr, they address them not only to entrepreneurs, but also to the heads of the RVA region.
