Beware of false overpayments, warns the financial administration

The financial administration warns against fraudulent e-mails that misuse its name and logo. They look like a call for a refund in euros, with a link to fill out a form.

However, the Financial Administration emphasizes that it never asks for a click on a link in its e-mails. E-mails that the financial administration actually sends always have the suffix @ fs.mfcr.cz.

“We recommend that you do not open unknown and suspicious e-mails, and especially their attachments, and rather delete them immediately,” the financial administration wrote on its website.

In addition to bad Czech, a signature could warn users, for example, if they are not really waiting for a letter from the Slovak office.
