Beware of False Ministry of Health Emails Offering Additional COVID-19 Vaccine Dose

The Civil Guard, through its official ‘X’ profile, has alerted the population about the distribution of emails that are “false” and that were also spread in March 2022, according to INCIBE.

These are emails that impersonate the Ministry of Health and that inform users that they have been selected to receive an additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, with the possibility of choosing the brand of the vaccine.

Along with the message, cybercriminals attach a document that they urge you to download and that contains a malicious file.

The message, as INCIBE warns, is characterized by being identified with the logo of the Ministry of Health, it does not contain spelling or editorial errors, which makes it more credible. And they use the email address to address the victim, instead of the first and last name.
