Beware of Dengue Fever, Batu City People are Urged to Intensively Do PSN

TRIBUNJATIM.COM, BATU – The people of Batu City are advised to increase their vigilance against attacks dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in this rainy season.

Currently, there is one case finding dengue fever who attacked adults in Stone Town.

Head of Batu Health Department, drg Kartika Trisulandari reminding the community to implement Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN).

The trick is to maintain cleanliness, drain puddles, and close water places that can become mosquito nests.

“Last year, there were 16 cases of dengue fever, all of them recovered, thank God. The latest report isn’t finished yet, but there’s already one case. The recommendation is to do PSN simultaneously. Anyway, leave the PSN, “explained Kartika.

PSN is considered effective in suppressing the breeding of mosquitoes. Because, with do PSN, the breeding ground for mosquitoes can be anticipated. That way, mosquitoes can not breed.

“So we focus on preventing mosquitoes from breeding, blocking places where mosquitoes can breed like puddles. If there is no regular PSN, the possibility is very high,” said Kartika.

Places that have the potential to become mosquito nests can be cleaned once a week. The community is expected to do this so that the larvae do not grow into mosquitoes.
