In recent days, the Czech National Bank has recorded other fraudulent practices that misuse its name. People should pay particular attention to phone calls from 244001, 2441022 and 244100111.
“On behalf of the CNB, it tries to lure the client’s login details to his electronic banking and payment card details (card number, owner’s name, validity period, CVV code, etc.). , which should warn him if there is any manipulation, “warns the central bank.
The claims of fraudsters seem very plausible. They will often contact you by name and have information about your last, for example withdrawal from an ATM. They even use so-called phone number spoofing – that is, they can mimic any phone number, for example, the bank ‘s infoline.
Czech National Bank points out that the public never contacts in this way and in any case does not require anyone to install unauthenticated software, provide credit card details or bank account details.
It advises citizens not to provide their personal or other sensitive data to anyone. People should not respond to similar fraudulent calls. “If you encounter fraudulent conduct with the described course, do not hesitate to contact the Police of the Czech Republic, but also your bank. Early action recommended by the Czech Police can still reverse the loss of money, “adds the CNB.
