The head of the Investment Alert Task Force, Tongam L Tobing, said that in principle all commodity futures trading business activities in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia must have a permit from CoFTRA. Futures brokers from abroad who do not have a business license from CoFTRA is illegal.
“Binary Options or binary options do not get permission from CoFTRA and their transactions are prohibited,” Tongam told detik.com, Friday (28/1/2022).
He revealed that for affiliates or Introducing Brokers (IB) Overseas Futures Brokers as representatives in Indonesia are business activities as Futures Brokers without CoFTRA’s permission, which of course is prohibited according to the provisions of CoFTRA.
“Obviously if Binomo claims to be a legal entity in Indonesia, it is misleading,” he explained.
Tongam said the Investment Alert Task Force always tries not to wait for victims before taking action by taking preventive and repressive measures.
