TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Cough, fever and loss of smell are the most common signs of Covid-19 patients. However, the recent increase in cases of the coronavirus has led to Covid-19 symptoms others experienced by the patient.
The initial symptom is pain in the body. Reported from EntertainmentThe following are pain symptoms that are early symptoms of Covid-19 infection to watch out for.
Headache
Headache is a lesser known symptom of Covid-19 but one of the earliest. Headaches tend to appear early in Covid-19 and usually last between 3-5 days. Coronavirus headaches tend to be moderate to severe, can feel like a throbbing, pressing, or stabbing in the head, occur on both sides of the head instead of just one area, and are resistant to common painkillers. Headaches can also last for a longer period of time until they become long Covid, even though the infection has cleared.
Muscle ache
Muscle pain is a common sign of coronavirus infection, especially when the Omicron waves strike. People infected with Covid-19 feel muscle pain, especially in the shoulders or legs. Covid-19-related muscle pain can be mild and severe, especially if there is extreme fatigue. For some people, this muscle pain can be a barrier in performing daily tasks.
Muscle ache usually lasts 2-3 days, and may last longer for older people. Just like a headache, this symptom can also be a sign of long Covid. However, muscle pain can also be caused by other factors and is not necessarily a symptom of Covid-19.
