It is simply polluted by a number of substances, ”explains Vladimír Kočí, Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Protection Technology at the University of Chemical Technology.
After greater recycling efficiency, beverage companies are also calling for the introduction of refundable deposits for plastic bottles in the amount of three crowns. “The deposit plays a crucial motivating role in making people think about whether to throw away the PET bottle. Small shops criticize the higher costs of storing bottles
Beverage producers see the future in vending machines that are currently only able to accept glass bottles in the Czech Republic. In the coming years, however, they should also be able to process PET bottles and cans.
