There is, initially, nothing in common between the fit of conservative fever that has won the United States from two Supreme Court decisions, one revoking the right to abortion and the other allowing the bearing of arms in public, and the imperialist rage that seized Putin and made him throw himself at neighboring Ukraine. In one case, two domestic decisions that seriously damage America’s liberal image; in the other, a barbaric aggression which brings back to Europe the forgotten specter of war. Their meeting is fortuitous; but, when it comes to the two former main protagonists of the Cold War, everything ends up being dangerous.
