Zedd has released his third album “Telos”
Zedd is supported on his new album by top-class and versatile artists. Among them are the rock greats John Mayer and Musethe alt-pop stars Remi Wolf, Dora Jar and Bea Millerthe modern Irish folk virtuosos The Olllam and the cult voice of the late Jeff Buckley.
Already before the release on August 30, Zedd his singles “Lucky” and “Out Of Time”, which are now joined by eight other, previously unreleased tracks. About the creation of the album and the Greek title, Zedd: “’Telos’ has several meanings, one of which is ‘completion’ or ‘perfection of human art’.”
The artist, who grew up in Kaiserslautern, said of the album itself:
“I’ve always dreamed of making an album that I can look back on 30 years later and be incredibly proud of. It will be just as great then as it is now, because it’s not based on trends or sound design that might become outdated – it’s based on music, just like the albums that shaped me in my youth and that I still adore today. With ‘Telos’ I’ve created something that I didn’t think I was capable of – it just took a little while to achieve.”
“Telos” follows Zedds second album “True Colors”, which was released almost ten years ago. “True Colors” produced some of the still popular cult tracks, including “I Want You To Know” with Selena Gomez und „Beautiful Now“ mit Jon Bellion. And of course, we must not forget Zedds Debut album “Clarity” from 2011, whose title track catapulted the DJ to his current fame.
