Between music and flowers, they pay tribute to Pedro Infante on his 67th death anniversary

A great ranchero party was held this Monday at the Panteón Jardín in Mexico City on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of the death of the Mexican idol, Pedro Infante, who lost his life after collapsing in the plane he was piloting.

Family, friends, celebrities and dozens of admirers gathered from 10:00 a.m. to honor his memory, pay tribute to his career and remember why he is called the “Immortal”, and that is that not even death
and much less time have been able to make their audience forget it.

As proof of this, there was not only the music, but also the dozens of white flowers that flooded the singer’s grave, and which were deposited by fans.

For several hours, the mariachi did not stop playing the songs that made the actor famous, which were performed by the voices of Raúl Sandoval, José Julián and Luis Alfredo Jiménez.

Lupita Infante Torrentera, daughter of Pedro Infante, who was one of the organizers of the event, also took the microphone to demonstrate that her father’s enormous talent runs through his veins.

“Long live Pedro Infante!” the guests shouted over and over again; while the audience chanted the songs and started dancing.

At times, the protagonist of “We the Poor” was present, through some audios that were recorded in his own voice and that were played by Lupita: “What do you think of my dad telling us what his kisses were like?” , he asked, and then let the recording run: “Kisses have to be spontaneous, natural. It has to come on its own, with strong ties,” she heard.

But these audios were not only shared with the attendees to surprise them, but also for Lupita’s personal reasons, as she assured that every time she hears them it is as if her father had never left: “When I hear my father’s voice it is as if I I had next to him, it’s the best, my heart skips a beat”.
