The Councils of Education e Technological innovation have launched a new section of the municipal website, within the section of the Department of Education, called “Between books I learn.”

The aim of this new website is to promote and activate online reading. The current pandemic situation requires developing and promoting new tools and technologies, and providing help to schoolchildren, educational centers and families, collaborating in a fun and effective way with them.

For the third deputy mayor and councilor for Education, Diana Diaz del Pozo, “We are launching this new tool to promote reading in schoolchildren. It is an online tool available to the boys and girls of Alcalá from any device, which they can use and nourish with information and experiences of both schoolchildren and educational centers related to the world of literature and books. For us it is important to continue promoting programs and actions that promote reading among schoolchildren. It is a hallmark of the city’s educational projects ”.

The Councilor for Technological Innovation, Miguel Carlos Castillejo, for its part, has stated that “We take another step in the Digital Transformation Strategy of the Alcalá de Henares City Council, and under the Modernization and Innovation Plan, from the Department of Technological Innovation we put at the service of the City Council departments and citizens the possibility of developing and use useful and entertaining online tools. In this case, the Alcalá schoolchildren will now be able to enjoy a new section on the municipal website where they will find readings, news and experiences ”.

In the section “Between books I learn”, which can be visited at the URL https://educacion.ayto-alcaladehenares.es/entre-libros-aprendo/, you can navigate through three sections according to the educational cycles, with readings recommended by age. In addition, there is another section with news of interest, where educational centers can collaborate by telling their programs, experiences, and organization. Interviews with authors, latest literary news, and everything that those interested can contribute will also be published.

It is, in short, a project to promote reading that is considered essential due to the great contribution of learning and benefits for schoolchildren and in general for all readers.
