Betty White was one of the greatest comedy actresses. She died on December 31 at the age of 99. The official cause of death was published on Monday.

Betty White, one of history’s greatest comedy actresses, died on December 31 – less than three weeks before her 100th birthday. According to the American media, a veteran of American television suffered a stroke six days before her death.

CNN journalists who saw the actress’s death certificate report that it was the stroke that was found to be the official cause of death. TMZ, which published a photo with the document on Monday, citing “sources close to the case,” said the actress was conscious after a stroke and died “peacefully in her sleep in her home”. The death certificate also stated that White had no other medical conditions that could have contributed to her death.

CNN announces that while White’s funeral will be a private ceremony, a national event will be held on January 17 – her 100th birthday – to commemorate her. The film about White will be screened in 900 theaters across the United States.

Betty White – one of the greatest legends of American television

Betty White, winner of five Emmys and one Grammy, among others, made her debut in 1939 and made the history of the entertainment industry as the artist with the longest career. The IMDb portal informs that the last role she played in the short animated film by Pixar “Forky Asks a Questions” in 2019, which gives an 80-year acting career. She made her mark in the Guinness Book of Records on her 95th birthday in 2017, thanks to the longest female television career in history. It was described by Americans as a “national treasure”.

On December 31, a few hours after the actress’s death, the 2010 episode “Saturday Night Live” of which she was the host was re-aired. White, then 88, was invited to the show as a result of a petition signed by nearly half a million of her fans. Thus, she became the oldest person to run “SNL”. The performance earned her the fifth Emmy in her career. Her most recent major television role was as Elka Ostrovsky in Kindle Cleveland opposite Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick and Jane Leeves.
