Player Madura United Beto Goncalves become a victim of mugging in Kuta, Bali. The police asked the Indonesian national team naturalized attacker to report the incident.
The mugging incident was revealed by Beto’s wife, Roesmalia Dewi, through the Instagram account @dewcosta. The 41-year-old attacker also revealed the mugging incident via Instagram.
“My necklace was recently stolen in Bali, Legian area. If anyone knows where or to whom the thief is selling, please inform. The two thieves were on a motorbike, so they pushed me and my son on a motorbike, almost falling. Luckily we didn’t fell,” Beto wrote via Instagram @betogonvalces9.
Meanwhile, Dewi wrote that the robber took Beto’s necklace and the clothes worn by the former Sriwijaya FC player were torn.
“Guys Be careful who rides motorbikes at night, 30 minutes ago my husband got stolen his gold necklace in the Basangkasa Highway area. Praise God it’s okay. My husband thought the motorbike that approached him was his friend because the thief grabbed my husband’s chest and then pulled the necklace until his shirt tore,” Dewi wrote.
Kuta Police Chief Kompol Orpa Takalapeta when confirmed said that his party had not received a report from the victim and did not know whether it was true that the incident occurred in the Basangkasa Highway area, Seminyak, Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.
“There is no report yet, I have checked. I have checked with the Criminal Investigation Unit earlier and tried to check with the Dumas [aduan masyarakat] there has been no report,” said Orpa Commissioner when contacted Monday (17/1).
Orpa asked the victim, in this case Beto, to report the mugging incident to the Kuta Police Headquarters, Bali, if it is true that the incident occurred.
“Just make a report first, we don’t know the truth. If there is a report there is someone who is responsible for the report. If for example he comes to make a report, someone must be responsible and the report is real and true, not fake,” said Orpa.
“If he comes to report, we are okay. I have asked the Criminal and Criminal Investigation Unit to try to check it first because it is from social media. We are waiting for the victim to report it, on that basis we can conduct an investigation,” said Orpa.
