Bethesda Showcases Fallout 76 Roadmap For 2022 With Alien Invasion In The Spring – Gaming – News

I don’t know the game from release, but I’ve been playing it for the last few weeks via the Xbox game pass to start the fallout series.

In the beginning I didn’t really like the world and the story. Rather empty and dead, without a lot of NPCs dragging you into it. Now that I’ve spent more time in it (think 150 hours now) and have seen more of the main storyline, I increasingly have the idea that everything is going on (including with the different factions) and the world comes to life. The often very repetitive side and daily missions don’t add much, except they are good for leveling up and your inventory.

A lot of the story has to come from a bit of extra effort from the player, because I find that there is a lot of extra story in the written stories at the terminals when you research locations. That is sometimes tiring, but usually really worth it (and I think not uncommon in the fallout series).

The multiplayer aspect doesn’t add much in my opinion. When you meet someone, most players are very friendly and helpful (as a fresh vault leaver, I was generously given a weapon and armor). The public events are sometimes funny when you work towards a goal together.

All in all, I’m having a good time with the game now. I also grab it partly because it plays so nicely from the couch on the Xbox. If you have an hour you can quickly play a mission or explore the world, there is always something to do. Actually, I’m now especially curious about the other fallout games whose storyline is stronger in my opinion.
