Bethesda hopes to support Fallout 76 for at least another 5 years

Mark Tucker, the game design director for Fallout 76, has revealed that there are still five years of internal updates planned for the game that has gotten better and better since its problematic release.

In an interview with AusGamers Tucker announced that he is working on two different roadmaps. One for the next three years, in which most of it has already been clearly defined. However, he also looks further and is working on a roadmap for the next five years, although it is of course slightly more subject to change.

Fallout 76 players will no doubt be happy to hear that the team has no plans to end support for the game anytime soon. Fallout 76 did not generate much enthusiasm with the release, partly due to a large number of bugs. In the years that followed, however, the game managed to find its place among gamers after numerous updates.

Last month, Bethesda made the roadmap for 2022 known. The first update planned is the “Invaders from Beyond” event.

“The funny thing is if I could share what’s on this other monitor right here, you would love to see it because it’s a five-year roadmap that I’m working on. We have long term plans, and things get a little fuzzier the further we go out because we adjust and adapt as things show up and we see what players want and what they’re doing.”
