Catastrophic at the end of the first round against Phoenix, Dennis Schröder saw his season end on a very bad note. Not the best of moves, the German being on the market in a few weeks. He also gave initial indications as to his future.
While coming out of a good regular season (15.4 points and 5.8 assists), Dennis Schröder showed a much less bright face in the postseason. Not content with seeing his numbers drop drastically (14 points and 2.8 assists), the leader also achieved a historically zero performance in Game 5. Enough to seal his Lakers, who were eliminated in six games by Phoenix.
Now on vacation, the German international must now focus on an event of importance to him: the free agency 2021. His contract in LA expires at the end of the year, the former Hawk is also already courted by league leaders. Nonetheless, as he explained to Dave McMenamin’s microphone fromESPN, he doesn’t plan to leave the City of Angels anytime soon:
Dennis Schroder: “You got to go through the bulls—- to get to the good s—-.” He says he plans to return to the Los Angeles Lakers next season.
