How does the “App on Prescription” really come up with a recipe? – With individually prioritized and well coordinated sales and marketing measures

Since the beginning of May, digital health providers have been able to submit an application to the BfArM for their DiGA to be included in the DiGA directory. With a positive decision, the DiGA have finally reached the standard care or on trial. And now? The DiGA are reimbursable; the insured can assert their claim to this; Doctors and psychotherapists can prescribe them and health insurers can approve them. And here it becomes clear: Reimbursement is only a milestone for DiGA.

A DiGA must be visible to both doctors and patients and be accepted.

To this end, DiGA providers must do the basic work: Doctors must learn about DiGA and the service and assess them as target-oriented, supportive and trustworthy; Patients and employees of health insurance companies must be given comprehensive information.

Three paths, three target groups – that requires strategic coordination

A DiGA-specific challenge for sales and marketing is to characterize and individually evaluate the three possible sales channels via doctors, patients or the cash register. Marketing measures can be planned and prioritized in a targeted manner. In this way, the DiGA can be effectively positioned in the market with a large reach – reinforced by the advantage of being part of the first!
