Gadgetren – After being released at the 2022 WorldWide Developer Conference (WWDC) last June, Apple has finally opened the iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 public beta program to iPhone or iPad users.
For users who already have a device iPhone and compatible iPads can register via Public Beta website. Previously, users had to update the device’s operating system to iOS 15 in order to receive the iOS 16 or iPadOS 16 public beta testing program.
In the public beta program that is being rolled out to these users, the iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 systems are arguably still not finalized so that later users are likely to encounter some problems such as annoying bugs.
However, the operating system iOS 16 brings various updates. One of them is a manageable lock screen. For lock screen updates, users can adjust the layout of information on the lock screen such as wallpaper, time, widgets, and the location of notifications which also get updates.
In addition there is an increase in the focus mode linked to the lock screen. Users can link the focus mode on different wallpaper displays so that the widgets can look appropriate. Meanwhile, new features in iMessage will bring Unsend, Edit, and Unread features.
Here the user will be given the opportunity to be able to cancel the message or edit before the 15 minutes have passed. Meanwhile, Unread allows users to mark messages that they want to read in the future.
In addition to these features, iOS 16 also provides other new features such as mail updates, Live Text that is increasingly sophisticated, an improved intelligence system, more complete Family Sharing settings, Safety Check, new Maps support, and game controller support.
