Summit1g, who also plays “Counter-Strike”, assured in its stream that “Valorant” will be several times better than “Overwatch”, especially for viewers. Because of many games «Valorant» is seen as a mixture of «Counter-Strike» and «Overwatch». Summit1g sees “Valorant” as a competitor of “Counter-Strike” rather than “Overwatch”, even if “Valorant” has heroes with different abilities as in “Overwatch”. “Of course, skills will play a big role, but I don’t think they’ll be as game-critical as players think.”

Streamer Shroud also compares it to “Counter-Strike” and says that “Valorant” is easier. This is because the «Valorant» maps are less distracting from the gameplay and do not offer so many places to hide. Therefore, he also makes a comparison to “Counter-Strike 1.6”, where the map design was kept visually simple, which made opponents easier to recognize.

On Twitter, he says something more serious that “Valorant” is a little too close to “Counter-Strike” and almost looks like a mod of it. However, he still sees great eSport potential for “Valorant”.

DrDisrespect lives up to its name.

Streamer DrDisrespect, on the other hand, sees less potential. «‹Valorant› is difficult to watch. As a viewer, I don’t care at all, »he says in his stream on Twitch. He further explains that from a streamer’s perspective it is important whether the game is interesting to watch. At a later point in the stream, he said Riot should have offered him $ 150,000 to play Valorant. But that didn’t seem to impress him and preferred to play “Destiny 2”.
