Harry’s house by Harry Styles was the best-selling and most streamed album in the Netherlands in 2022. Kris Kross Amsterdam, Antoon and Sigourney K. met Emergency lane the best-selling and most streamed song of that year. This is evident from the annual Dutch charts overview, released on Tuesday.
The former One Direction singer’s third solo album was released in May. In total, the record spent seven weeks in the top spot. In addition, the album has been in the top ten for almost the entire year since its release.
Ed Sheeran stands with his album = in second place on the list of the year and closes with Taylor Swift Midnight in third place. The latter was released at the end of October and thus ended up in the top three in ten weeks of sales.
Last year’s number one 30 van Adele, is in fourth place this year. Sheeran’s album was still ranked ninth at the time.
Sheeran and Adele were on the list of best albums of the whole year. Also ACID by Olivia Rodrigo (seat six), Dream in color by Suzan & Freek (eight) e Fine line of Harry Styles (ten) managed to complete the 52 weeks.
The album Fine line closes in the top ten for the third consecutive year. In 2020 the record was five in the annual overview and last year it was ten.

Emergency lane by Kris Kross Amsterdam, Antoon and Sigourney K. became the best-selling and streaming record of 2022. The collaboration scored slightly better than How it was van Harry Styles.
The DJ trio also achieved the hit of the year in 2019, when with He is my, a collaboration with Maan and Tabitha. Kris Kross Amsterdam is the third act, after Marco Borsato and Maan, to finish twice at the top of the annual chart. Borsato succeeded in 1994 and 2006 with Dreams are lies in Rod. Moon topped 2021 with Stay to sleepa duet with Snelle.
Another love by Tom Odell from 2013 gained attention on TikTok last year as a “song of comfort” for the people of Ukraine following the Russian invasion of that country. The song reached number ten in early December and is number six in the annual overview. It’s next Emergency lane the only record that was on the list all year.
