Those who like to appreciate the night sky this week may have a chance to see the Northern Lights in some nearby states.
The lights will be most visible in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Maryland on Wednesday the 12th and Thursday the 13th due to increased geomagnetic activity.
As the days draw near, the National Oceanic Administration will monitor Earth’s magnetic field and release its forecast on the best places to view this extraordinary natural phenomenon that can be seen in part of the United States.
The northern lights can be seen especially in areas of Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Iceland and Scandinavia.
