La Superior, one of the best restaurants in NYC, opened its doors twelve years ago, when its owner Felipe Mendez-CandelaHe realized that there were no good restaurants offering Mexican street food in Brooklyn. This is how he organized a menu with the best snacks: mixed chalupas with green and red sauce, exquisite muffins, gorditas, quesadillas, etc. Incidentally, it included original house cocktails, such as the guava, tamarind and hibiscus margarita, which are wonderful, but our favorite is the house spicy.
