Rabat, August 11, 2020 – Best Health, one of the African leaders in the distribution of medical equipment, today announces the finalization of the acquisition of a majority stake in Mabiotech, a major player in the distribution of laboratory equipment and reagents on the Moroccan market.
Created in 1992 under the direction of Mr. Moufid BENKIRANE and the French manufacturer group Immunotech, Mabiotech is fully acquired by M. BENKIRANE in 2000 following the purchase of Immunotech by Beckman Coulter, an American manufacturer of instruments and reagents for medical analysis and research.
Since, Mabiotech It has continued to grow its turnover and today has a diversified portfolio of international brands, market leaders and first-class suppliers such as Beckman Coulter, Cepheid or Thermo.
For Best Health, this acquisition represents the opportunity to consolidate its presence in North Africa and strengthen its positioning in French-speaking Africa. It is also the opportunity to develop and exploit the synergies of two companies with complementary activities which will make it possible to solidify the strategic and competitive positioning of Best Health.

For Mabiotech, this buyout represents the opportunity to be incorporated into a well-established player in the market, at the same time extending its Moroccan and African client portfolio and taking advantage of the network of Best Health. In addition, this transaction allows Mabiotech to benefit from the pooling of the group’s technical and financial support, thus opening the door to greater exposure.
