Beşiktaş President Ahmet Nur Çebi made a statement at the press conference he held.
Çebi, who had emotional moments and was often seen tearing up during the meeting, announced that he would not be a candidate in the new election.

WE CAME WITH 68 PERCENT OF THE VOTES
We came to this club as the second president. In my 7th year as the second president, while we were struggling with enforcement and financial problems during the FEDA period, we had 2 championships and an undefeated period in the European cups during my presidency of the football branch. Then I took a break for 1 year. We aspired for the presidential seat. They deemed me worthy of this task. We came to office with 68 percent of the votes. We encountered the same things again. We felt the need to struggle with problems similar to the SACRIFICE period and the problems that had increased.

I WILL NOT BE A CANDIDATE

I was going to make the statement during the international break, but recent developments convinced me that I had to hurry. I didn’t explain why I wasn’t a candidate, I didn’t want the team and employees to be demoralized.
