Victor Ruiz, who was acquired from Villarreal for a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros, will have put in his pocket the full amount of his 3-year contract, that is, 5.3 million euros, after the last case. Since CAS ruled to pay the fee throughout the contract, his manager will also collect a total of 530 thousand euros. In other words, 8.3 million euros will come out of the club’s pocket, excluding the litigation and attorney fees paid and to be paid (more than 100 thousand euros).
In addition, by missing the opportunity to transfer Ruiz to another club, the club was deprived of the opportunity to earn millions of euros in transfer revenue.
After this decision finalized in CAS, Beşiktaş will not be able to make a new transfer without paying 2.3 million euros.
