Telset.id, Jakarta – iPhone 15 Pro reportedly not only has a periscope lens, but also a USB-C port. That port will be installed on all iPhone 15 output 2023.
The iPhone 15 Pro will use a USB-C port because it complies with European law. The regulation requires all phones to have the same USB-C port from 2024.
Technically, the rule doesn’t actually affect the iPhone 15. However, Apple seems to want to prove the functionality of the iPhone 15 in the future.
The rumors are quite reasonable after seeing that the AirPods Pro 2 will feature a USB-C port or the first for earbud Cupertino wireless.

It was previously reported that a 5-6x periscope zoom camera will be present on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. The lens first appeared on the Huawei P30 Pro in 2019.
Leading analyst Ming-Chi Kuo even later said that the remote zoom camera will be one of the main selling points of the iPhone 15 Pro in 2023.
However, for the record, Kuo outlines that so far only the larger 15 Pro Max phones are likely to get a 5-6x periscope zoom lens.
Another hint that the iPhone 15 Pro series will carry a periscope zoom camera is an Apple patent. Even so, the patent may not be applied by Apple.
Like Telset quote from Phone ArenaMonday (18/7/2022), indeed the concept of an iPhone with a USB-C port sounds quite surprising, it might not even happen.
Nevertheless, the most likely chance is that Apple will adopt it. Otherwise, Apple will lose its potential market in Europe in 2024 and beyond.
Some time ago, European Union countries and parliaments approved the implementation of the USB-Type C connector on tablets, laptops, e-reader, earbud, keyboard, mouse computer.
The European Commission said the political intervention would make consumers’ lives easier. Brussels has been pushing for a single charging port for more than a decade.
