The Besançon prosecutor opened a murder investigation after the death of a man in his twenties found lying in a pool of blood in a city apartment on Friday morning.
Another man, in his forties, with severe stab wounds in the neck, was taken to hospital by firefighters in serious condition. “The results of the investigation are still ongoing,” a magistrate said, adding that the crime scene was likely a squat.
“A man in his forties wounded in the neck called for help from the window of an apartment, reporting that there had been a death in the apartment”, indicated the firefighters, alerted by the residents in the late morning. After securing the scene, firefighters found a man lying in his blood in this apartment in a three-story building located along the Doubs.
According to the regional newspaper L’Est Républicain, which revealed the facts, the injured man was particularly agitated during the treatment. No explanation has yet been provided by the latter, his conditions have not yet allowed him to be heard by the investigators.
