On the sidelines of a performance at the University of Zurich, Federal Councilor Alain Berset expresses criticism of the test strategy of the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). A student asked him what he thought of paid tests at the ZHAW.
He thinks that is unfair, Berset told the student. He has no understanding of it. The repetitive pool tests are very easy to organize and the federal government takes on the costs. That is why this could be a great advantage for the ZHAW. The interior department confirmed the statements of Alain Berset to the commuter newspaper 20 Minuten.
The ZHAW wants to stick to its current test practice despite the criticism from Bern. Because they would offer the unvaccinated students online alternatives at many events. Wherever online alternatives are not possible and presence is mandatory, the test costs would be covered. There are also on-site test facilities in Winterthur, Zurich and Wädenswil.
