“Today, we are proud to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Security Forces Command (GKK), the 66th anniversary of the Turkish Anti-Terrorism Group (TMT) and the 453rd anniversary of the occupation of Cyprus.
This August 1 includes three happy dates that mean a lot to us.
It represents an important turning point of the continuation of the Turkish Cypriot People on the island with perseverance, determination and faith, the honorable and just struggle, and the social struggle against Greek attacks.
The Turkish Cypriot People, together with the Motherland Republic of Turkey, faced all kinds of violence, injustice, cruelty and suffering for many years, and after their struggle for existence, they established their state itself, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
If we live freely and independently in these lands today, we owe it today to our Mujahideen, Mujahideen and Mehmetçiks.
As a result of these feelings and thoughts, I congratulate all our people on the ‘1 August Social Resistance Day’, remember our Martyrs with mercy and gratitude, and give my deepest respect to our Veterans. Happy August 1 Social Resistance Day.”
