According to preliminary information from AFP and BFMTV, they were asleep when four criminals broke in to steal jewelry from them. On the spot, Bernard and Dominique Tapie were assaulted, assaulted and tied up by the burglars, who put a baton on the head of the businessman. Called on the spot by the neighbors of the couple, the firefighters took care of them and took the wife of the former boss of Olympique de Marseille to the hospital. The businessman, who has battled double cancer for years, added that he refused to be taken to a health facility. Joined by RTL, Dominique Tapie revealed to have the aftereffects of this burglary. “We can’t talk, it’s not possible”, confided the wife of Bernard Tapie to our colleagues, before adding: “We get away with a lot of bruises”. On Twitter, Rodolphe Tapie revealed that they had been tied up with lamp cables. “They are better but deeply shocked, KP and a lot of bruises”, he added. The criminals were able to escape from the home of Bernard and Dominique Tapie without being arrested. In the wake of this violent burglary, the judicial police of Versailles was seized of this investigation for aggravated theft with violence and sequestration, still according to the information of our colleagues. The prosecutor of the Republic of Melun explained that an investigation for theft with violence had already been opened.
Bernard Tapie, combative in the face of disease
An episode necessarily worrying for the couple, and in particular for Bernard Tapie, weakened by a tough fight against a double cancer.
