After 40 years at Nestlé, Patrice Bula will retire at the end of February 2021. Bernard Meunier, currently Head of Nestlé Purina PetCare EMENA, will take over his position as Head of Strategic Business Units, Marketing, Sales and Nespresso as well as a member of the Nestlé Executive Committee.

Bula has held various positions on three continents, most notably as head of key markets such as China, Germany and South Africa. In his most recent position, Bula successfully led the group’s branding strategies, digital transformation of marketing and the Nespresso business.

Meunier will start in his new role on March 1, 2021. During his 35-year career at Nestlé, he held leadership roles in marketing, operations and management, including as head of markets in Hungary, Russia and the Eurasia region and the Iberia region. As Head of Nestlé Purina PetCare EMENA, Bernard Meunier pioneered the introduction of a digitally controlled, personalized business model for pet products that contributed to significant sales growth.

The Board of Directors has also appointed David Rennie, Head of Nestlé’s Coffee Brands Business Unit, to be a member of the Executive Committee effective March 1, 2021. With this, Nestlé underscores the strategic importance of its role. Because coffee is one of the most important pillars of Nestlé’s growth. David Rennie grew the business and strengthened Nestlé’s leadership position in coffee. He launched a successful global partnership with Starbucks and has since expanded the range at a rapid pace.
