Forbes regularly updates the list the richest man in the world through his Real Time Billionaires report. Most recently, the top position as the richest man in the world is currently being occupied by Bernard Arnault.
So who is included in the list of the 10 richest people in the world today? Launching from Forbes Real Time Billionair, Monday (3/4/2023), here is the latest list:
1. Bernard Arnault
Currently the top position as the richest person in the world is occupied by the boss of the famous fashion and lifestyle brand Louis Vuitton, Bernard Arnault. He is recorded as having a net worth of US$ 225.3 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 3,379.5 trillion.
He has that much wealth thanks to his business octopus which is under the LVMH group. A number of luxury brands are in his hands, such as Sephora, Tiffany & Co., and Moët & Chandon wine grapes.
2. Elon Musk
The wealth of Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, is reported to have continued to decline. Even so, until now he is still listed on the list of the richest people in the world.
He is recorded as having assets of US$ 202.4 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 3,036 trillion. Thanks to that, the founder of SpaceX and the new owner of Twitter has managed to become the second richest person in the world.
3. Jeff Bezos
The third richest person in the world is currently occupied by the founder of the e-commerce giant Amazon, Jeff Bezos. He currently owns 10% of the company’s total shares.
Even so, with his 10% share ownership, his wealth is currently at US$ 126.4 billion or Rp. 1,896 trillion.
4. Larry Ellison
The founder of one of the technology giants Oracle, Larry Ellison, currently has assets of US $ 118.3 billion or Rp. 1,774.5 trillion. Even so, Ellison himself has actually no longer served as CEO of Oracle since 2017.
5. Bill Gates
Many of us may already be familiar with the name of the owner of the technology giant Microsoft, Bill Gates. Thanks to the company he owns, he is recorded as having assets of US$ 110.3 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 1,654.5 trillion.
6. Warren Buffett
Top investor Warren Buffet is reportedly still in the sixth richest person in the world with assets of US $ 106.8 billion or Rp. 1,602 trillion. Apart from investing, it is known that he is also the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway.
7. Michael Bloomberg
One of the well-known media CEOs, Michael Bloomberg, recorded a net worth of US $ 94.5 billion or Rp. 1,417 trillion. He is currently the seventh richest person in the world.
8. Carlos Slim Helu
The eighth richest person in the world is currently occupied by a conglomerate from Mexico, Carlos Slim. His wealth and his family got from the largest telecommunications company in Latin America named América Móvil.
Slim posted assets of US$ 93.4 billion or Rp. 1,401 trillion. Apart from the telecommunication business, its business octopuses also cover the construction, property, and mining industries.
9. Steve Ballmer
In the next sequence, there is Steve Baller who is the owner of the Los Ageles Clippers, one of the professional basketball teams in America. He previously worked as CEO of Microsoft in 2000-2014.
Before becoming CEO, he passed the career ladder as a Microsoft employee after dropping out of college. Currently, his assets reach US$ 90.8 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 1,362 trillion.
10. Fracoise Bettencourt Meyers
In tenth place is the owner of the L’Oreal cosmetic brand, Francoise Bettencourt Meyers. Francoise recorded assets of US$ 89.4 billion or the equivalent of Rp. 1,341 trillion.
This achievement at the same time makes her the only richest woman in the world who is included in the list of the 10 richest people in the world according to Forbes.
