Bernadette Vergne, elected for nineteen years in Montluçon (Allier), resigns from her duties as municipal councilor

Bernadette Vergne decided to stop politics. The former assistant of Daniel Dugléry then Frédéric Laporte (LR), reelected municipal councilor in 2020 on the opposition list of Joseph Roudillon (DVD), announced this Wednesday, October 27 at the end of the municipal council of Montluçon ( Allier).

“I exercised this mandate with all my heart”

She had communicated her decision to the mayor by mail, resulting in her resignation as a community councilor.

It is with difficulty that I make this announcement. For 19 years, I carried out this mandate with all my heart. But I no longer feel in my place because I no longer have the activity I had (when she was an assistant, Editor’s note)

Replaced by Jean-Jacques Kégelart

She will be replaced by Jean-Jacques Kégelart, also former assistant to Daniel Dugléry and Frédéric Laporte, who also joined the ranks of the list led by Joseph Roudillon during the municipal elections of 2020.

As a reminder, in April 2019, Bernadette Vergne was dismissed from her duties as first deputy by Frédéric Laporte who had criticized her, at the time, for no longer being loyal to her majority.

Resignation also of Joseph Roudillon … but in the agglomeration

Jean-Jacques Kégelart will also sit on the agglomeration council. Because at the same time, Joseph Roudillon also announced his resignation from his mandate as community advisor. However, it remains with the municipal council.

François Brochet new representative of “Montluçon ensemble”

Joseph Roudillon also indicated that François Brochet would henceforth be the representative of “Montluçon ensemble” within the two assemblies. “Because our approach has never been a matter of ego”, seeing it as a means of “going beyond the” Laporte-Roudillon “duel”.
