Berlin’s governing mayor hoped to be rewarded for his departure from office with a promising place on the list for the federal election. But Müller did the math without Kevin Kühnert and Sawsan Chebli.

Michael Müller appeared laughing on Sunday. The governing mayor of Berlin posed in front of the television tower for an interview in “Bild am Sonntag”. Müller is confident about this. From next year on he wants to take care of the “big issues” of living, integration and science, as a member of the BundestagHe wanted to place them “prominently” there “and bring my experience to bear”. Even when asked which ministerial office he could imagine in a federal government, Müller replied with a self-confident laugh: “Of course science or construction minister.”

For self-confidence, Müller, who after weak years in his dream job in his dream job in the Corona crisis, once again made a passable figure as the first man in the city, actually has little reason. Because when it comes to his political future, he has acted very clumsily so far.
