Berlin. The Berlinale continues its summer series in open-air cinemas. From June 15th to 29th, selected films from the program can be seen in the open air, as the festival announced on Monday. The demonstrations are therefore presented by one person responsible for the section. In individual cases, film team guests should also come. This year’s winner of the Golden Bear, the family drama “Alcarràs” by Carla Simón, will kick things off at the Friedrichshain open-air cinema.
The story is about the everyday life of a family that grows peaches on a plantation and finds themselves in dire straits. The film became a hit with the public in Spain. Ticket sales begin on June 3rd. The festival thus ties in with the summer series that started in 2003 in Berlin’s open-air cinemas.
