Baby dogs died in agony because a lousy puppy dealer wanted to treat herself to bigger breasts, a smaller nose and a trip to the Caribbean.
The woman who sold dogs that were far too young and sick is now in the dock: Laura W. (25). Super slim, ponytail, high heels. She was a high school graduate when she first bought small dogs at a market in Poland in February 2019. There were now 25 puppies in court. 17 of the puppies tortured themselves to death shortly after the illegal sale.
Laura W., now a student, allegedly a party girl in the past: “I never had any money and I had psychological problems with my appearance.” She bought the first dogs for 50 euros, smuggled them to Berlin in a bag, and marketed them for 400 euros each.
The puppy dealer: “In the beginning I went to the vet, later not anymore. A lot of questions were asked, one wanted to see mother animals. “

Sometimes she drove to Poland every week – “I had contact with the saleswoman beforehand”. At the dealer’s Magdalena, she then bagged four to five helpless baby dogs at a time. Torn away from the mother far too early. A policewoman: “Some of the animals were only six weeks old.”
First stop of the dogs in Berlin: A dirty wooden shed in Laura W.’s apartment in Hohenschönhausen. She offered her illegal goods on the Internet – using fake names and fake accounts. Sometimes she deceived with falsified evidence of vaccinations and deworming.

Most of them were Chihuahua mix puppies. Laura W. praised her as healthy and well cared for by a veterinarian. Plus cute photos of baby dogs and their parents. All lie.
Buyer Kim A. (23), who could only look forward to a baby dog for hours: “After the sale for 450 euros, she was no longer available.” The puppy felt bad the next day. Kim A. ran to the vet. Only hours later the sad news: “Died after diarrhea.”

Dog Luna also dies miserably. Buyer Marianne E. (49): “At first the animal was still fit, but it started quickly.” It started with blood on its mouth. Witness E .: “I go to the vet every day, I’ve tried everything.” In most cases, the puppies died of a dangerous viral disease.

25 cases were charged. The prosecutor: “It was probably much more.” Laura W. had sacrificed animals for vacation (Mexico and Dominican Republic), for a larger breast – “shabby, how can you!” Because she confessed, he pleaded for parole.
The verdict: For animal cruelty, commercial fraud in 25 cases and forgery of documents, two years’ imprisonment was given on probation. In addition, the seizure of 8,628 euros was ordered. And Laura W. is supposed to pay 50 euros a month for three years – to make up for the damage.
