The US packaging manufacturer Berlin Packaging (Chicago, Illinois / USA) is pushing its European expansion with the takeover of the two plastic packaging manufacturers Repli (Barcelona / Spain) and Pentapackaging (Bergamo / Italy). The takeover of the two companies represents the ninth acquisition of the US manufacturer of containers and closures made of glass, plastic and metal in Europe since 2016; financial details were not disclosed.
“The acquisitions of Repli and Pentapackaging strengthened our offering in Southern Europe and enable us to better support customers of all sizes in all vertical markets,” says Paolo Recrosio, CEO Berlin Packaging Europe.
