Milla and Mike’s financial problems are getting worse every day. Not only are the two of them no longer able to pay their rent, their debts mean they can no longer afford the salaries of the staff.
Although Milla and Mike try everything in their power to keep their money problems secret, Amelie is the first to get wind of it. After the landlady grants a delay for the time being, Milla emphasizes to Amelie that everything will be okay in the end. But the next shock is already waiting: Because the Matrix cash register is more than empty, salaries can no longer be paid to the employees.
No credit for Milla and Mike
The facade is slowly crumbling. Luckily for the two of them, enough employees remain to keep the store running. Inspired by the trust of their team, they now want to give even more to give the store a happy ending. But who would have guessed – shortly afterwards the next collapse is imminent. The bank has bad news and the requested loan will not be approved. Milla is slowly losing all hope. They are very afraid of losing the Matrix for good.
Does Piet grab the Matrix?
SPOILER: Milla and Mike’s worst fears actually come true. You lose the Matrix for good. The bank temporarily appoints a managing director. It looks like Piet, of all people, will be the new managing director. Milla and Mike will work as employees again in the future, as the preview for mid-December reveals:
“Mike is really struggling with his new position at the bar. He would always like to intervene, optimize processes, encourage employees to work more effectively or give a few strict instructions. But Mike is no longer a managing director and it is extremely difficult for him to accept that.
